Battery & Electric Co. Inc. or "BECO" was founded by Cecil Morris in September of 1920. Originally a supplier of Delco Radios, it evolved over time to a leading distributor & supplier of outdoor power equipment parts.

The company was originally located on South Main Street in Greenville, South Carolina, but has outgrown its facilities twice. BECO was moved to its present location at 109 West Stone Avenue in 1965. In January, 1988, the company was purchased by the current owner.

Over 80 plus years of service, BECO developed the reputation as "South Carolina's most complete parts and service organization".
